Demeter Energy is advancing development activities for a commercial-scale biomethanol production and carbon capture unit in Florida.
The facility is designed to convert sustainably sourced biomass into roughly 100,000 metric tons of low-carbon bio methanol every year. Additionally, the site will capture and permanently sequester approximately 200,000 metric tons of biogenic carbon dioxide annually.
Bio methanol has emerged as a key solution to decarbonize maritime transportation while serving as a crucial feedstock for low-carbon chemicals and sustainable aviation fuel.
