Despite disappointment from postponement of the IMOs Net-zero framework and fuel supply challenges arising from conflict around the Strait of Hormuz, there are still many positive developments coming out of the Marine biofuels sector.

• Repsol and Maersk have completed their first bioethanol bunkering operation at the Port of Barcelona
• In Brazil, CMA has taken delivery of their first tri-fuel certified containership with the ship successfully supplied with bioethanol at the Port of Santos.
• Shanghai Municipal government has unveiled their plans to build an international shipping hub with methanol as a core focus
