Collaborative Research
We have long history of supporting grant funded research projects either as a project partner or a sub-contractor. Project funders include UK Research Councils, Innovate UK and BBI-JU and Horizon European programmes.
Our knowledge of bioeconomy markets, values chains and biomass makes us ideally placed to support business model and plan development, deliver insights in to sustainability including life cycle analysis (LCA) or to assess the need for value chain development and feedstock supply.
The Commercial Landscape
Understanding the commercial landscape in which the research project sits is critical in the development of exploitation strategies. Regulations and standards can be enablers and barriers to market development, and understanding the role they play in the development and commercialisation of novel products is important.
We have collaborated in targeted projects providing our services directly to project partners (e.g. BeonNAT, Furafact and Shikifactory100), and in open facilitation projects providing business services to stakeholders outside the project team (e.g. ToBeReal, BioBase4SME).
