Alder BioInsights has worked with a number of renewable fuel project developers and the UK Department for Transport (DfT) to support recognition and acceptance of waste and process residue designations for feedstocks under the RTFO. This has included:
- Waste starch streams
- Draff and pot ale syrup
- Contaminated residues of cheese and quark production
- Sugar beet betane residues
- Wet corn fibre
Alder BioInsights also works with project developers to support applications for recognition of development fuel status with DfT. This has included provision of support for the acceptance of tyre pyrolysis oils and advanced ethanol from betane rsidues. We previously worked with a major biofuel supplier to gain acceptance by DfT of the principle of mass balancing of biomethane via the gas grid.
